Is the Trump family just getting started in politics?
That’s the big question after Eric Trump, the former president’s second son, gave a revealing new interview where he suggested that more members of the Trump family possibly even the next generation could enter the political arena.
In a conversation with the Financial Times, Eric, 41, said a political career would be a “very easy path” for him or other relatives if they chose to run, especially after the years they’ve already spent in the public eye.
“Would I want my kids to live the same experience over the last decade that I’ve lived?” Eric said. “If the answer was yes, I think the political path would be an easy one.”
The comment is already fueling speculation that the Trumps are thinking long-term far beyond Donald Trump’s expected second term, which would end in 2029 if he wins in November.
Eric has long been a vocal defender of his father on major news networks, and his older brother Donald Trump Jr. has become a political force of his own with his popular podcast and social media firestorms aimed at energizing the MAGA base.
The idea of a multi-generational Trump dynasty isn’t new but it’s one thing for voters to speculate, and another for a Trump family member to openly confirm that it’s a real possibility.
In fact, the family has already had deep political involvement:
• Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner held senior roles in the Trump White House during his first term.
• Don Jr. regularly appears at major rallies and GOP events.
• Eric has stayed closely involved with campaign operations and fundraising efforts.
Now, the Trumps may be setting the stage for something bigger possibly a Trump family legacy in Washington that could last decades.
Eric didn’t confirm any concrete plans, but he made it clear: if the family decides to keep going, they already know the way.
